- These Terms and Conditions apply to all guests of Peppermint Park and, as such, apply to all
touring and camping pitches, seasonal touring pitches, the casual camping area, Peppermint
Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans.
- The enjoyment of our guests is of the utmost importance. We therefore require that all guests of Peppermint Park, including day visitors, understand and adhere to our Terms and Conditions at all times whilst on the Park.
- It is the responsibility of parents to supervise children at all times. All persons under the age of 18 years are deemed to be children and the term “children” therefore also applies to all teenagers under the age of 18 years.
- We operate strict policies with regard to noise and anti-social behaviour and any guest not willing to comply with these conditions will be deemed in breach of contract and will be required to immediately leave the Park. Excessive noise and disturbance is to be kept to a minimum at all times when at Peppermint Park and particularly after 10 p.m.
- Once a booking has been made and accepted by Peppermint Park, refunds will not be made for whatever reason, including in circumstances such as (but not limited to) cancellations prior to arrival, early departure of guests own choosing and early departure at the request of Peppermint Park.
- We cater for families and couples and do not accept bookings from stag / hen / single sex parties and mixed groups of youngsters. We do not accept bookings from persons aged less than 25 years.
- The maximum number of pitches in a group booking (excluding organised touring rallies) must not exceed 5 pitches. This policy relates to all areas of Peppermint Park and includes the casual camping area.
- The person who makes the booking is responsible for the booking and warrants that he or she is over 25 years of age and that the party will not exceed the numbers stated on the Booking Form. A child, or baby, of any age, counts as one person in all cases.
- If by 10am on the day after the day on which your holiday is due to start you have not occupied your accommodation or pitch, and you have not informed us that you will be arriving after this time, then you will be deemed to have cancelled your booking and the accommodation or pitch will be re-let.
- Touring and Camping and Seasonal Touring Pitches:
Touring and Camping bookings are from 2pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of
departure. A deposit of £50.00 per week / part week for touring and camping pitches is to be
paid at the time of booking and the balance must be paid 28 clear days before the holiday begins.
- If the balance is not received 28 days before the holiday is due to begin, then Peppermint Park reserves the right to re-let the pitch with the loss of your deposit.
- Our pitches are all different shapes and sizes and we need to know the exact size of your
accommodation at the time of your booking in order to help us allocate a suitably sized pitch.
Awnings are always allowed for being a maximum of 2.5m wide.
- Although every effort will be made to ensure that your preferred pitch will be available,
Peppermint Park cannot guarantee that this will be the case. Changes to allocated pitch numbers can and do sometimes occur. It is therefore essential to report to Reception upon arrival in order toconfirm your pitch number. When arriving outside of office hours, relevant contact information will be displayed in the Reception window.
- Pitching and siting is not permitted after dark or 9pm; whichever is sooner. If you arrive
after this time then you must remain in the car park until Reception opens the following morning. This ensures that existing guests are not unnecessarily disturbed.
- Electric hook-ups are provided as industrial round-pin external sockets. Guests are responsible for ensuring they have an extension cable AT LEAST 25 metres LONG in order to connect to Peppermint Park’s sockets. In addition, tents and trailer tents using electric hook-ups must also provide and use a 240v mains supply adaptor (complete with built-in RCD and MCB protection) in order to use domestic appliances and domestic plugs. Guests unsure of these requirements are advised to consult a camping accessory stockist for further advice.
- Peppermint Park cannot be held liable in the event that poor weather conditions effects the
quality of pitch conditions and refunds for loss of holiday enjoyment due to poor weather
conditions will not be made.
- Only the use of “breathable” groundsheets is permitted. Any pitch damage caused as a result of not using a breathable groundsheet is chargeable.
- Open fires are not permitted. Ground level and disposable barbeques are only permitted if the barbeque is placed on a non-combustible object that prevents damage to the grass and pitch. Any damage caused as a result of barbequing is chargeable.
- Peppermint Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans Retreat Lodges and Holiday
Home Caravan bookings are from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of
departure. A deposit of £75.00 per week / short break for Peppermint Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans is to be paid at the time of booking and the balance must be paid 28 clear days before the holiday begins. An official acknowledgement will be sent within 14 days for each booking and deposit received.
- If the balance is not received 28 days before the holiday is due to begin, then Peppermint Park reserves the right to re-let the accommodation with the loss of your deposit.
- Your accommodation must be kept in a clean and tidy condition. You will be responsible for any loss, damage or breakages that occur during your stay. An additional Security Deposit in the form of an electronic imprint (to the value of £100) will be taken against a valid credit card per accommodation unit on the day of arrival. The Security Deposit will only be charged if the accommodation is not left in a clean and tidy condition, if breakages are not reported and paid for and if the keys are not returned.
- The number of persons, including babies, occupying a Holiday Home or Retreat Lodge must not exceed the stated berth and only the persons listed on the booking shall be entitled to occupy the accommodation allocated for their use. Any breach of these conditions shall entitle Peppermint Park to terminate the booking and to exclude forthwith all persons.
- Dogs and other pets are not permitted in Peppermint Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans.
- Smoking is not permitted in Peppermint Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans.
- Transportable electric or gas heating appliances are not permitted to be used in Peppermint Retreat Lodges and Holiday Home Caravans.
- Barbequing is not permitted on the decks of lodges and holiday homes. The use of barbeques
in the areas surrounding the lodges is at the absolute discretion of Peppermint Park and a suitable location must be agreed with Reception prior to barbequing. Any damage caused as a result of barbequing is chargeable.
- Well-behaved dogs and other pets are allowed to stay with responsible owners on touring and camping pitches only. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and owners are responsible for cleaning-up after dogs at all times.
- Dogs are not permitted in cJ’s and in the swimming pool area. The Casual Camping Fields must not be used for exercising dogs.
- Cyclists must always keep to the roads. The riding of bikes on paths, pitches and on banks is strictly forbidden. It is strongly recommended that cyclists wear helmets.
- The use of petrol or battery powered scooters, go-peds, mini-motos, quads etc. is strictly prohibited unless the operator has a current licence and insurance.
- We accept bookings from families on the strict understanding that parents are prepared to
supervise children on the Park at all times; especially during the evening and night hours. Children under the age of 14 years must always be accompanied by an adult when at the
swimming pool, cJ’s, the coarse fishing pond and the children’s playground. One adult is
permitted to accompany a maximum of 3 children only.
- The appropriate deposit must be paid at time of booking. Should the accommodation type
required, or a suitable second choice, not be available, the deposit will be refunded in full. Once a booking has been made and our confirmation issued then all monies paid are non-refundable.
- The balance of charges must be received by Peppermint Park no later than 28 days prior to the commencement of the holiday. Failure to comply will result in the loss of the deposit and the cancellation of your booking.
- Once a booking has been made, any subsequent alteration in holiday dates, accommodation type, pitch preference, or persons, requires Peppermint Park to be notified in writing and will incur an administration charge of £10 that is non-refundable even if the request cannot be met.
- Returned cheque charges and unpaid credit/debit card charges incurred by Peppermint Park will be charged at the £10 administration fee
- Cheques are not accepted as “over-the-counter” payment
- Credit card payments will incur a 2.5% handling fee charge
- Unless written notice of a cancellation of a booking is received by Peppermint Park not less than 28 days prior to the commencement of your holiday you will remain liable for the full amount due in respect of the reservation. The deposit value is always non-refundable.
- Peppermint Park no longer offers a Holiday Cancellation Scheme. Guests are therefore
advised to obtain appropriate travel insurance.
- Peppermint Park reserves the right to refuse any application.
- Accommodation may be terminated at the absolute discretion of Peppermint Park - particularly when instances of anti-social behaviour occur and when guests not declared on the booking form are found to be occupying a pitch / accommodation unit. Refunds are not made in the event of the early termination of your holiday.
- The booking is accepted on the strict understanding that persons under 18 years of age are not permitted to buy, or consume, alcoholic beverages anywhere on Peppermint Park, including in cJ’s. Persons so found doing will immediately be expelled from Peppermint Park, together will all persons named in the booking. When asked to do so, a recognised form of identification must be produced at cJ’s. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that children under 18 years of age do not consume alcohol whilst on Peppermint Park and at cJ’s. Children under the age of 14 are welcome in cJ’s only when accompanied by an adult. One adult is permitted to accompany a maximum of 3 children only. Children 14 years old and over are still the responsibility of respective parent/s even when visiting cJ’s unaccompanied.
- Peppermint Park does not operate the concession known as cJ’s. All comments regarding cJ’s must be made in writing and addressed to The Concessionaire, cJ’s, Peppermint Park, Warren Road, Dawlish Warren, EX7 0PQ
- Peppermint Park does not operate the concession known as Captain Jack’s. All comments regarding Captain Jack’s must be made in writing and addressed to The Concessionaire, Captain Jack’s, Peppermint Park, Warren Road, Dawlish Warren, EX7 0PQ
- Strict rules apply to the use of the swimming pool and water flume. Failure to observe and abide by these rules and to comply with instructions issued by the lifeguard, pool attendant, or other member of staff entitles Peppermint Park to exclude forthwith the offending person/s from the swimming pool area for the remainder of the holiday. Children under the age of 14 must always be accompanied by an adult (a person 18 years old or over) when in the
swimming pool area. One adult is permitted to accompany a maximum of 3 children only.
- The VAT tax point is the date that monies are received. VAT is included in the tariff at 17.5% and
in the event of a change in the rate an adjustment will be made accordingly.
- Vehicles must not exceed the 10mph speed limit within the boundary of Peppermint Park and
must only be driven by holders of a current driving licence, having (at least) adequate third party insurance. Peppermint Park is covered by the provisions of the Road Traffic Act.
- Peppermint Park shall not be liable in the event of accommodation, or other advertised facilities,or amenities, being unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of Peppermint Park’s management.
- The information supplied when booking will be stored on computer for the purposes of the future distribution of our advertising material and under no circumstances will be passed onto a third party. Payment of your deposit signifies your agreement to this.
- Visitors to Peppermint Park who are not listed on the booking may be permitted to use the
facilities at the sole discretion of Peppermint Park. A charge will be levied on all visitors using Park facilities who are not listed on the booking. It is essential that all visitors not listed on the booking report to Reception before entering Peppermint Park or using the Park’s facilities.
- Prices are correct at time of going to print.
- The enjoyment of your holiday is important to us and, in the unlikely event of there being a problem, or dissatisfaction, please report it immediately. We cannot accept liability for any claim if you fail to notify us during the period of your holiday.
- Any grievance in relation to your stay at Peppermint Park must be made in writing and addressed to Peppermint Park, Warren Road, Dawlish Warren, EX7 0PQ.
